California Adventure all day today!
Cute moment: The way Owen pronounces Disneyland. It has 4 syllables not just 3! "Dis i ney land!
We hit the park as soon as it opened at 9 and stayed until it closed at 11pm! We walked 9 miles and were beat by the end of the day, but man it was fun.
We had gotten fast passes to several rides, but we had 6 to CA screamin'! Payton had mom go on that crazy fast upside down roller coaster 3 times in row! Let's just say by the end of the third time, mom was grateful we didnt have more fast passes. And - Pay couldnt just walk off the ride and get onto it again - we had to run! He would have gone on all day if he could have. Owen was slighty too short and Miles passed on this one. Ella however really wanted to do it though!
The new Cars land in CA Adventure was awesome. Owen was in his glory. That used to be or may still be his favorite movie. We rode on Mater and Luigi and then on The Radiator Springs racers (which had a 110 minute wait at one point) Luckily we did fast passes on that too. WE got to eat at Flo's V8 Cafe and walked Route 66 at dusk with all of the Neon lights on!
We did Bug land. We of course rode, California Soarin', which Ella was finally all enough for. It was so fun to be able to all go on as a family!
Payton and Owen took Mom and Dad on the Tower of Terror! Owen was so brave, but respectfully decined an invitation to go on again! Payton, would have done it over and over and over. Miles also chose to 'sit out" with Ella. He had done it last year and that was more than enough for him!
We go to sit front row at the evening light show on the water "World of Color". It was beautiful! Disney really knows how to do it right. There is something so magical at night at Disney!
We never left CA Adventure and still had things to do and see there that day. They did had a special event for season pass holders though, where the Disney Historian came and spoke to us and gave us all sorts of fun Disney history and how the 1964 World fair really propelled things for Disney. He really is an inspiring man, and we are looking forward to reading his Biography and seeing his new biographical movie!
Yes, Disneyland is amazingly fun, but it really is amazing to think of the minds behind all of the things here! It really is a work of art, creativity and innovation. Owen said he would like to do some art work here in Disneyland - that's the kind of inspiration we are looking for when coming to these places, just a 'thought' that 'I could do this too'. Or somehow, unleash a little more of our creative side!
