No real sleeping in today even though last night was such a late
one. When the ocean is crashing right outside your door..inviting you
at every white cap...you just can't sleep in too late. Left over
bagels for breakfast and out the door for more ocean fun.
This
time the waves were bigger and a much stronger rip tide. But the kids
were all much more brave and rode some big Ones! We even saw Owen get
flipped up and around on one and he was fine!
We hurried
back at 11:30 because Jer was done with meetings. The kids thought he
was just meeting us for lunch. He took us to a yummy Mexican joint in
Costa Mesa called 'mi casa' at Jane Ann's recommendation!
We
asked the kids if they wanted to go back to the beach or have dad's
surprise? All wanted the surprise, although it was a hard choice
because they love the ocean so much.
We drove about 20
minutes to Disneyland and Miles started noticing a few signs and knew
what we were doing...the smile on his face was classic.
Payton
saw the tower of terror (in ca adventure) but didn't recognize it as
that ride and immediately said he'd rather go see the temple than a
scary building. Adorable!
Owen figured it out when we
were clear into the park almost and grinned from ear to ear but couldn't
remember the name of the place...but he knew it.
Ella
didn't seem to know what country she was in and was just happy to he
with the family. But when she she saw the carousel.... that was it.
She had us on that a few times. She just loves that ride!
Stayed
till the park closed just grinning. Saw some characters. Pictures
with Pluto. Rode Pirates of the Caribbean first. Indiana Jones (just
dad and Pay, Owen was 1/2 inch too short). Mad hatter, the beauties in
one tea cup going slow and the boys all in another spinning until they
were green). Matterhorn. Twice....it took a second time to talk miles
onto that one. A lot of the fantasy land and adventure land stuff. Got
to star tours and buzz light year in Tomorrowland. Finished up with
Autopia! Ella drove the car. :)
Successful and super fun day!
When I downloaded the close up shot of the boy in the yellow shirt my 14 year old Justin came over to have a look at him. Justin commented the boy is super cute and said the picture is so clear and sharp he appeared to be right in front of us and he could see ever detail. Justin grinned and exclaimed, "I can county every freckle on this little cutie's face, and I can see the texture of skin and the fine hairs! I think he has good looks and is like really beautiful!" Then Justin started to blush a little and said, "If I put him on display life size on my room in my large digital picture frame I would have to stop and like kiss him all over, especially his mouth and lips, every time I walked past this gorgeous little beauty!"
