Even though we got in so late last
night, we still decided to get to the park when it opened at 10. Today was supposed to be a much less crowded
day (compared to Goth day), and we wanted to get into CA Adventure again early
to get fast passes on the Cars ride.
On the way home last night, we
each chose two rides that we wanted to make sure we hit up today (or at least
before we leave on Tuesday).
Miles chose (surprisingly) – Space
Mountain and Materhorn (Two roller coasters!
Who is he?)
Pay chose – CA Screamin’ (the
upside down coaster) and Toy Story (the game ride where Mom ruled Friday)
Owen chose – Pirates of Caribbean
and Haunted Mansion (but he also said Splash Mountain)
Ella chose = Tea Cups, and the Go
Coaster
Mom chose – CA Soarin (just love
this one, where you feel like you are soaring over CA and can see all of the
sights), and Indiana Jones (mom has not been on that one since her honeymoon
due to pregnancies or staying off with babies).
Dad chose – Buzz light year (a
classic) and Pirates of the Caribbean (he says that the Pirates ride is
Disneyland to him)
It rained a bit today but that didn’t
scare us! It works in our favor most
times. Lines were pretty fast and crowds
not too bad!
The boys are really into this
whole Pin Trading phenomenon here in Disneyland. They have acquired a bunch so far and trade
with any person they can find (usually Crew members). It is so fun to see them run up and trade
with the Employees. They have gotten
some really fun pins so far. It’s
amazing how many people you find with pins to trade when you are a looking for
it (a good lesson in life too).
Miles begged for more CA screamin’
(it is still mind boggling to even write that).
We got a video of him talking about it.
He was so hesitant to go on so we told him we would buy him the
Screamin pin if he went on. That was all
the incentive he needed to try. The kid
is nuts about the pins.
Ella bawled her eyes out when we couldn’t
get on Space Mountain (the super fast coaster).
???? who are these kids!
Ella and Owen took us back on the
Huge Ferris wheel (at least this time we didn’t get the swinging car – that was
freaky). The entire family got on that one
together. Notice from the pictures that
those heights are not Dad’s favorites.
We hit both parks. Had a delightful time in the rain. We have hit nearly every attraction there is
to do in both parks this trip.
We were standing in line at one
point and Dad leaned over to Mom and said something about loving these kids so
much and how many memories we are making…
he got all choked up and so did Mom.
It’s not about the rides or the shows or anything else….this is about
making memories with those we love and serious family bonding and relationship
building! What a blessing.
