What a blast. We went to Grantsville and found Horn coral, Bryozoa, Organ Pipe and Brachiopods. Uncle Bill gave us all the rules before hiking up the hill and we were off! Hammers and buckets in hand. Everywhere you looked there were some sort of Horn Coral from millions of years ago. The Organ pipe display at the very top was something to see (I wish I had taken a picture). A little hot and lots of bugs - but well worth it.
Hey, I remember doing that with Uncle Bill. It was hot and dry and at times boring, but when I made a find it was always exciting (unless Uncle Bill said that I had found 'leaverite', and when I asked what that meant he would say, "It means to leave it right where you found it, it's just a rock.")
